Woman hit by police van improves slightly
A woman who was seriously injured when hit by a Devon and Cornwall Police van has made a "slight improvement" in hospital, the force said yesterday. The 28-year-old woman suffered life threatening head injuries in the accident on New Road, Bideford, on the evening of March 6. The force said her condition had improved but she remains "critical but stable" in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
