Woman treated after weever fish sting
A woman who had been stung by a weever fish at Whitsand Bay, South East Cornwall, was treated by coastguards. The Tamar Coastguard team was called out at 4.30pm on Saturday to help an ambulance crew who had been called to Tregantle beach. The 23-year-old woman had been stung by a weever fish, which lie beneath the sand in shallow waters. She was taken to the coastguard station nearby for treatment.
