SEVEN women's darts teams, who took part in a marathon fundraising tournament, which involved players throwing arrows for two hours non-stop at a time, raised £2,000 for Ella's Memory.

The charity was set up to refurbish the Daisy Suite for bereaved parents at Royal Cornwall Hospital.

The fundraiser, which kicked off in May and ended last month, was scored by Truro Lions' Club.

A presentation evening was held at the Clock and Key pub in Trispen where £500 was also donated to Jeannette Preston, of the Pants organisation, which raises awareness of gynaecological cancers.
