Woodbridge is not alone in medal hunt
MODERN PENTATHLON: Nick Woodbridge became the first British man in 20 years to win an individual medal at modern pentathlon's World Championships with silver in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, at the weekend. The 27-year-old had only Justinas Kinderis of Lithuania ahead of him. Britain's Mhairi Spence, Kate French and Samantha Murray went one better by winning gold in the women's team event. They defended the title won by Murray, Spence and Devon's Heather Fell in Rome last year.
