Woodn't it be good
WILD Woodland Summer Ball is the latest theatre adventure by Rogue Theatre, creators of Winter Wood (listed in the top ten Christmas walks 2011, The Guardian), Dancer And The Devil In The Woods and King Arthur The Wild Hunt.
Whether you are a Rogue fan, a first time theatregoer or on holiday in Cornwall, Wild Woodland Summer Ball is an exciting way to explore theatre in one of Cornwall's most breathtaking landscapes, Tehidy Woods, North Cliffs, near Portreath.
Wild Woodland Summer Ball is a woodland adventure into the land of Fae, with stories for boys, girls and grown-ups who still hear the call of the wild.
So join the King of the Woods on the paths of Tehidy, and Moon, the Queen of the Sky, as they tell tales of pirate girls, raven women, wolf boys, wide-eyed explorers and lost bankers.

The event combines a journey through the trees and a journey into an imaginative world. At the heart of the wood there is a gathering with performance, live music, comedy, acrobatics, dance, a chance to have a picnic and, of course, an opportunity to dance at the Wild Woodland Summer Ball.
Angelina Boscarelli, director of Rogue, said: "The ball launches Out Of The Woods, a Rogue project supported by Arts Council England; a season of work in Cornwall also including the return of Madame Lucinda's Wonder Show, a Hallowe'en theatre show in Tehidy called The Hallowed and Winter Wood 2013 … so watch this space."
Reasonably priced hot refreshments, cold drinks, beer, wine and cider will be available to buy. Toilets are situated near the performance area.
For your woodland adventure bring a picnic / snacks / treats (optional), a picnic blanket, a warm and waterproof coat, shoes for adventure (wellies if it has been raining) and a torch if you are coming for the evening performance.
There will be hay bales and log rings to sit on, though feel free to bring cushions or fold-out chairs (if you don't mind carrying them).
The event lasts about two hours and takes place in the heart of the woods so come prepared whatever the weather.
The path twists and turns and is bumpy under foot but should be fine for a rugged buggy.
Wild Woodland Summer Ball gathers twice a day at 2.30pm (The Sunlight Ball) and 7.30pm (The Twilight Ball with candlelit path) on August 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28 (only Twilight Ball), 29, 30, 31 and September 1 and 2.
Tickets are £7.50 per person, 3 years and under are free (maximum of two under-3s per adult). Tickets include face-painting, parking and woodland craft-making.
