Wraps come off TFA's new students' package
The Tenant Farmers' Association has launched a new membership package for students studying agriculture
It aims to give them an up-to-date insight into the issues faced by tenant farmers on a day-to-day basis by providing student members with access to the members' area of the TFA website.
This houses briefing notes on issues as they happen, template letters, case law examples and guidance notes on various subjects such as how to apply for a tenancy.
The TFA's Larissa Harmsworth said: "We are very keen to encourage and help young, budding farmers and we hope this will be a huge benefit for students to help them with their studies.

"Not only will students be able to log in to the members' area of the website, they will also receive TFA newsletters containing further information regarding the latest news in the agricultural industry from a tenant's perspective. It is important for students to know that there are organisations that can provide help at the start and during their career in agriculture."
The TFA is also visiting colleges and universities, giving lectures and advice to students on applying for tenancies.
TFA adviser Katy Blagg said: "When visiting colleges and universities, it gives me such a buzz to see so many enthusiastic young farmers keen to learn about the best way to apply for a tenancy. Being a new entrant means I can provide a real and accurate case study on the best way to go about applying for a farm."
To be eligible for the TFA student package you need to be in full-time education studying an agricultural related course. The membership cost for this package is £35 per annum.
