Youngster give Tuckingmill skate park a facelift
TUCKINGMILL skatepark has been given a facelift thanks to a group of youngsters who set out to transform the area.
The teenagers, aged between 15 and 17, have been involved in the National Citizen Service (NCS) project to give back to the community within the Camborne and Redruth area.
One of the projects was to paint equipment, clean up rubbish and install vandal-proof recycling bins at the skatepark.
Aidan Reynolds, of the NCS team, said: "The skatepark was not family-friendly and there was rubbish everywhere and dog mess overflowing in the bins.
"We think our work has improved the quality of the skatepark for longer.
"Our team was very enthusiastic about this project because it is in our local community and it will benefit not only our generation and the next but everyone in the community."
