YOUNGSTERS from three Newquay primary schools had a flipping marvellous time this week, as they celebrated Pancake Day in their own unique ways.

Shrove Tuesday saw Bishops' C of E Primary School children learn how to make their own tasty pancakes, and they even had a go at flipping, with great success.

St Columb Minor School also didn't miss out on the fun with a day of pancake-making on Tuesday.

Youngsters also combined their culinary skills with their sporting prowess as they took to the playground for a pancake race.

And, not ones to miss out on the action, Cubert Primary School youngsters also enjoyed pancake-themed fun and games with cookery lessons and a race on Friday.
