Youngsters "tie the knot" in mock wedding ceremony
HAVE you heard about the wedding when the bridegroom resolutely refused to take the bride as his wife and the best man would not hand over the rings?
Rev Canon Sherry Bryan faced both these obstacles last week as she carried out a mock wedding ceremony with pupils from St Breward Primary School.

As part of RE studies, the children in Starfish class are looking at Christianity, and the Rev Bryan agreed to "marry" a young couple using a traditional Christian ceremony.
The bride, Megan Pascoe, was driven to the church and then escorted down the aisle by her "father" Marcus Mitchell and attendants. A guard of honour saluted the bride and her groom Owen Hoskins as they left the church, followed by a wedding breakfast back at the school.
The experienced Rev Bryan coped with the minor hiccups during the ceremony and all was "happy ever after" for the "newly-weds" and congregation.
