Visitors Truro, however, responded with a try almost straight away and with continued pressure led 13-10 at half-time.
It was a setback for the Pirates when they lost the services of their open-side flanker early in the second period, but they battled on and did well to keep a strong Truro team to under 50 points.
Pirates U15s: N Nowell, J Nicholls, S Brown, J Brownfield, N Badcock, T Hutton, C Williams, K Stevens, L Lonsdale, L Ashley, R Osborne, S Cavell, R Cornish, J Bowers, M Skewes, A Guy.
Truro 15, Pirates U12s 30
The Pirates fought back from 10-0 down at half-time to beat a rapidly improving Truro outfit in an end-to-end encounter.
Dominance in the scrum from the excellent Mackensie, Will T and Will S provided the platform for strong running from Jacob and Connor, while the outstanding Archie scored his first try of the season.
Special mention, however, goes to Zelah, who continues to shine on the wing. She is surely a contender to perhaps one day play for the England Ladies team.
Pirates U12s: Mackensie, Will T, Will S, Jacob, Connor, Ali, Jamie, Mawgan, Zelah, Henry, Jordan, Archy, Morgan.
Truro 20, Pirates U11s 35

At the end of the first quarter Truro led 10-5, but after playing downhill in the second quarter the Pirates pulled it back to 10-10 at half-time.
In the third period Truro took a commanding 25-10 lead, only for the Pirates to storm back in the final quarter, as J Prowse ran in four tries, while man-of-the-match T Berryman had his best game yet.
