Five apply for post of Devon and Cornwall Police chief constable
FIVE people have applied to become Devon and Cornwall Police's new top cop.
Interviews for the post of chief constable of the force will take place on January 15, it has been confirmed.
The names of the five individuals, however, will not be revealed ahead of the interviews, the force said.
A five-strong selection panel will run the rule over the candidates - including the force's new police and crime commissioner Tony Hogg and Kevin Lavery, the outgoing chief executive of Cornwall Council.

The appointment will be subject to a confirmation hearing by the force's Police and Crime Panel on February 8.
