THE PORTHMINSTER Gallery, St Ives, is celebrating spring – a time of new growth and awakening – with its first exhibition of the year.

The sixth annual New Beginnings show will showcase a fresh portfolio of artists new to the gallery.

This is an imaginatively curated selling exhibition of original paintings, sculptures and ceramics by nine award-winning emerging and established artists.

They are:

Katie Almond, Paul Armitage, Rachel Foxwell, Carol Hosking-Smith, Geoff Jeal, Stephanie Pace, Mirjana Smith, Simon Stooks and Julia Wilson.

The private view is on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm and the show will run until March 24.

Opening hours will be Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm – the gallery will be closed on Sundays.
