Two charged with evading tobacco duty
Two men from Cornwall will appear in court next month charged with evading tobacco duty estimated at £60,000.
Lindsey Mayne and David Anthony Mutton were arrested by HM Revenue and Customs officers in July on suspicion of evading duty on 371 kilos of hand rolling tobacco.
Mayne, 56 from North Country, Redruth, and Mutton, 54, of Paynters Lane End, Redruth, were charged on Friday with importing/exporting goods with intent to defraud duty payable. They have been released on bail to appear at Truro Magistrates' Court, on November 1.
