Bowker boys are on the up

Relegation fears have eased in recent weeks after Town secured their second straight win with Saturday's 3-2 victory over Clyst Rovers at Bickland Park.
After a difficult start to the campaign, in which Town lost their first five league games of the season, Bowker's men have now hit a good run form after taking seven points from a possible nine.
Town boast one of the youngest squads in the premier division and Bowker feels that inexperience at the beginning of the campaign was partly responsbile for their shortcomings.
But now, after 12 games, Bowker feels his players are beginning to find their feet.
He said: "They're a young squad and some of them haven't played 10 league games in a row before.
"I've asked them to step up and be counted for, which is what they've done.
"It's difficult when you're young and doing that every week.
"The second half performances in the last two or three weeks have been good. They have responded which is pleasing. The young lads are still learning what the league is all about but I think you can see that we are making progress."
But while the youngsters earn the plaudits, it was the oldest player on the pitch who had a big hand in Saturday's win.
At 37 years young, assistant manager Wayne Hewitt rolled back the years with Town's second goal and Bowker joked: "He's just came into the fold, he's just left school!
"We thought we'd bring him on for 25 minutes to see what he had to offer and by Jove he came up with a goal."

Town's mini revival was put to the test by Plymouth Parkway last night.

On Saturday Bowker's men entertain Dartmouth (3pm) at Bickland Park.
