Fire crews tackle barn blaze near Bodmin
Firefighters were called to a large barn fire at Warleggan, near Bodmin, yesterday morning. Two fire engines from Bodmin and one from Liskeard were initially sent to the blaze, later assisted by a water carrier, also from Liskeard. The open barn, some 40m long and 20m wide and containing bales of hay, was already well alight. Another engine from Callington also attended to help set up a water relay. Crews used several jets to bring the fire, which was still burning at lunchtime, under control.
