“"Kernow's distinctive history and customs and outlines our differences to England"
There you are folks, now we have it. Mike tried it and says it is alright so it must be OK and relevant to today's Cornwall. No doubt it will be teaching how Cornwall has evolved into a holiday resort and retirement retreat over the last 60 or so years which should be very interesting. £67.50 put me off though.”

“Villages are 'different', towns are 'different' areas large and small be they counties or whatever, are 'different', places and people change and become different. It is natural and human. Human; nobody can be stupid enough to deny that common and most fundamental of bonds.
We have a shared history. Cornwall is a part of England, England is a part of Great Britain and so on until the undeniable fact that we are all part of one world.
The premise of this thread is obviously not about history but an attempt to push the fallacy of Cornwall being a separate country. What a shame to politicise such a subject for ones own blind agenda.”

For the younger person I would have thought something more on the lines of a course in bricklaying or gardening even, anything to help work prospects, OK being out of work and knowing why, because you did a course on the history of Cornwall.”

“Good to see that the colleges are teaching our history, isn't it? After all, we are hardly English are we? And this is hardly England.”

“£67.50 is rather good value for a ten week course and I see there are concessions on that fee as well. The one which is set for January interests me.”

Some employers if they happen to visit this forum and take a dislike to some of the nationalist comments (and who would blame them) could think twice if this is on ones CV.”

“Rest assured, those who attend will really benefit from this course. It is an eye opener on Cornwall's history.”
