“Other gongs causing controversy last night included a knighthood for services to politics and the public for Kevin Barron, a Labour MP and chairman of the Commons Standards Committee. In 2012, he was found to be claiming £1,500 in expenses to rent a family home belonging to shadow cabinet minister Jon Trickett, after selling his own flat for a £500,000 profit.”

“Come on, why are these clowns being decorated, what about people such as paramedics , these guys are at the front everyday, they have to deal with death and injuries and misery. Not forgetting fire fighters and many more, I would not want to do their jobs, they go to work everyday not knowing what they will come up against. These people and more, should be recognised and decorated for their services, not these politicians who seem to do what they want when they want. Those people are parasites and overpaid for what they do, they seem to turn up when they want to claim their expenses .I might add not all politicians are like this, but the majority are.Its about time the whole thing was investigated and corrected, but we all know this will never happen because they look after themselves, wear the same old school tie etc.”
