“It's always a pleasure to see the auld enemy beaten. If Cornwall were allowed to have its own National side, that would be quite something. We were talking about this watching the match the other day.So many Cornish people feel that way. It is a real shame that the Cornish are forced to play for the Country next door. It was also good to hear that several Cornish players refer to themselves as Cornish only and some have even refused to play for the auld enemy.
One day. Keep your eyes on that ball, my boys.”

“As Wales is a part of Great Britain and because I am not racist, I was more than happy for Wales. I would have preferred England to win, of course, but I have no animosity towards my fellow Britain's; so good luck to them, it was a fantastic result.”

Wealas - Cornwealas and so on.”

“PS. CallingtonFox - 'fellow Britains' is an impossible concept as 'Britain' refers to the island we live on. It should be 'fellow Britons'. Hence our local rag is called the 'West Briton' for example, which is what we are. (not English)

I would have thought one as learned as you and with so many qualifications would have realised this. Ah, that reminds me, your qualifications.........”

You may not be English, but Cornwall is England. Have a nice day.”

“Yes indeed, Cornish not English. Cornwall is administered as a County of England. So were many places once. But its administrative arrangements do not make it a County.

Cornwall next to England just like Wales. All of course on the island of Britain, just off the shore of Europe.”

“Cornishmen have played for Wales and Scotland to, by dint of their parents being Scottish and Welsh. Those with Cornish parents have always played for England though.”

“And like Rob Andrew said when he was standoff for the South West of England against the All Blacks at Redruth "it was like an away game the entire crowd was supporting the All Blacks, we should never play there again ! "”

“Well said Polgooth. The old South West England team were met with derision. Not that Biger would understand. He's too busy selling chips to emmets and campaigning against Bert Biscoe. Or collecting for an anti Cornish fund.

I support whoever is playing England.”
