“Any councillor who votes for what is in these austere times a huge pay rise should be named and will not get re-elected. It is shameful that in a situation where, through no fault of their own, people are existing on frozen wages and reduced services while someone who left his brain cell at home suggests this pay rise. The person who proposed it should immediately stand down as he/she is not a fit representative for the people who pay his/her wages.”
