Two dogs found shot dead in Truro
A ST DAY woman has been left shocked after her two dogs that had been missing since December last year were found shot dead in woods this week.
Owner Mandy James appealed for help through the West Briton to find her four-year-old female rottweiler called Sky and rottweiler cross German shepherd Buster, aged 18 months.
The pair escaped her Gwennap Pit home on December 18.
On Tuesday this week, both dogs were found shot dead in Penstraze woods near Truro.

Animal welfare charity RSPCA has been informed.
Mrs James said: "They had both been shot at the back of their heads.
"It is possible that they were shot elsewhere and then dumped in the woods.
"I am so upset and I just want other dog owners to be aware what could happen and be careful with their dogs.
"My only consolation was that they were together."
