Four escape after car bursts into flames
Four men had to quickly jump out of a car they were sitting in outside a supermarket after the vehicle suddenly burst into flames. Emergency services were called to the scene at Kingsley Road outside Morrisons in Bideford, Devon, at 12.45pm yesterday. Startled shoppers watched as the men scrambled out of the Volkswagen Polo to reach safety. Police officers who attended the scene later confirmed no one was injured in the incident. The cause of the blaze was believed to be accidental and according to officers was not being treated as suspicious.
