Benh Zeitlin co-writes and directs this fantasy drama about a six-year-old girl struggling to survive in the flooded bayous of Louisiana. Starring Quvenzhané Wallis, the youngest ever Oscar nominee for Best Actress, whose character Hushpuppy sees herself as inhabiting a semi-magical world where anything is possible. This highly acclaimed and original film has also attracted nominations for Best Film and Best Director in this year’s Oscars.
