“I don't think you have seen this to have written that comment. Shakespear's lines were occasionally detectable and it took much concentration to discern any plot, Shakespear's or anyone else. The smoke from the braziers may have given atmosphere but its main benefit were sore throats -a good idea gone wrong. Admittedly we did not see the second act - we had hoped to see Shakespeare - and left at the interval. Eminently forgettable.”
