Last exhibition for historical artefact collector
A ST Enoder collector has said his next exhibition could be his last, meaning many of his treasures will never been seen again.
Stan May, 71, from St Columb Road, has a collection of more than 100,000 historical items, including photographs, a royalty collection, antique radios, and newspapers dating back more than 200 years.
Today and tomorrow he will be hosting a jubilee celebration exhibition at the Sunday school in Indian Queens.
It will feature items highlighting key moments of the Royal Family's history.

One of the highlights of the exhibition will be a never-before-seen china tea set from the 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
Mr May said: "I haven't seen the full set myself yet. It has everything including cups and a teapot – it's quite exciting for me. I would like to encourage people to come and have a look as I think this will be my last exhibition; this could be the first and last time it is seen.
"I am hoping to take as much to the hall as I can as I want people to be able to see the items, as they may never have the opportunity again. I have suffered some ill health this year and I want to enjoy more time with my family."
Mr May's collection is so big he finds it hard to store it all, he said: "My collection is taking over my house. I don't drink or smoke and, after being married to Mollie for 45 years, I don't chase the ladies either – collecting is my passion.
"I have so many great people who find old photographs and artefacts and hand them to me, for which I am very grateful."
Earlier this year Mr May was presented with the St Enoder Parish Council's Honorary Service Award for his community work and dedication to collecting historical artefacts.
The exhibition will be opened by Lady Mary Holborow, at 2.30pm today and will run until 8pm. Tomorrow it will be open from 10am to 3pm. Entry will be by donation, to go to the Rebuild Fund for Indian Queens Pit Association.
