Call for fast broadband campaign
Rural campaigners have called for a national campaign to raise awareness of slow rural broadband after the Western Morning News reported a minister claiming his connection is slower than a "man with a stick".
Environment Minister David Heath earlier this week warned the Government risked "failing" rural communities because of poor broadband and mobile connections.
Harry Cotterell, president of the Country Land and Business Association, said a campaign should be launched.
He said: "David Heath's description of slow broadband speeds in rural areas is far too generous. We believe his 'man with a stick' must also be confused and lost.
