Two flee house after letterbox arson
Two people were forced to escape from a house after a flaming object was posted through the letterbox.
Police are investigating the second case of arson in Cornwall this week.

The latest attack happened at Norton Court, New Market Street, Bodmin, in the early hours of yesterday. It has been categorised as arson with intent to endanger life. Police said a pair of curtains were set alight, but occupants managed to extinguish the blaze and escaped unscathed.
Three fire crews from Bodmin attended the scene and inspected the property, and paramedics checked over the two occupants.
The incident comes after a couple and seven-year-old child escaped injury when flammable liquid was set alight on steps to a property in Fore Street, Camelford, overnight on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the Cornwall Fire Service said; "Arson puts both the public and firefighters at unnecessary risk.
"It ties up resources that could be in demand for other more serious incidents."

“To set fire to an oocupied building is attempted murder and I hope that when the scum who did this are caught the charge and sentence reflect that. I won't however hold my breath.”

“That is just terrible, what is wrong with these people? it was only just over two years ago that a poor lady in Bodmin lost her life because somebody thought it funny to put a firework through her letterbox. i don't know about locking the offenders up, more appropriate would be a straight jacket and a padded cell.”
