A fond farewell to staff member
WADEBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL is preparing to say goodbye to one of its best-loved and most long standing members of staff.
Maralyn Marsh, pictured right, is retiring from her post as school administrator after 26 years in the post.
Her last day on Friday, she concedes, will be an emotional one.
"I have lots of happy memories and I will miss my friends," she said.
"I have mixed feelings about leaving, but I will stay in touch."
Maralyn started work at Wadebridge Junior Girls' School in 1985 where she shared an office with head teacher Jim Young.

In those days Maralyn had a typewriter and dial phone to help her deal with all the day to day admin. When the new Wadebridge Primary School opened Maralyn got her own office and a computer.
"Over the years many staff, children and parents have benefited from Maralyn's organisational skills," said assistant head teacher, Mrs Borton.
"She has been the font of all knowledge in school, always patient and calm. Maralyn will really be missed, we know she is going to enjoy being able to spend time with her husband and beautiful granddaughter."
