AN urgent call has gone out to all clubs providing activities for children and young people in the Camborne, Pool and Redruth areas.

Cornwall Out of Hours Learning is holding a fun day next month to highlight the range of activities that are available.

It is keen to contact all organisations involved with music, arts, sports and leisure pursuits.

The fun day at Redruth School on Friday, February 12, will include a variety of taster sessions.

Co-ordinator, Tanya Moore said it was being organised following the success of Kerrier Fun Day last year which attracted over 1,000 people.

"We have already contacted a large number of local providers but we are sure there are more groups out there who would like to showcase their activities.

"Under the Government's extended services agenda, schools are required to offer a range of activities and services beyond the school day to help meet the needs of pupils, families and the wider community."
