ST KEW Community Primary School is a 'green beacon' for North Cornwall, according to MP Dan Rogerson.

Mr Rogerson recently paid a visit to the school to see the small wind turbine installed there.

He had lunch with pupils and talked with them about what they liked to do at school, and what they had learned about climate change.

He said: "The small turbine St Kew School has used will help reduce their energy bills and save on emissions.

"It is a brilliant example of how producing energy on a small scale can help everyone, and it's a real life lesson for the school's pupils. St Kew doesn't just talk green, it does green.

"I had a great lunch with some of the children there, who had insightful questions about the job I do, and were keen to tell me all about what's happening at school."
