Is this the one for Cornwall?

11:13 - 25-June-2008

Cornwall's new super council has unveiled its logo – attracting a broad range of comments, some even suggesting it resembles boxing promoter Don King's hair.

The new logo was selected by the council on Monday after an in-house team at County Hall came up with a shortlist of suggested logos.

Councillors chose the new logo which they described as “tartan” and “like flames” and also decided that the existing logo of the county crest and chough will be retained for ceremonial use.

What do you think of the new Cornwall Council logo? Have you got any alternative designs which could be used? Post any comments below and email any alternative designs to rwhitehouse@c-dm.co.uk

Post Office Cuts POST OFFICES are a lifeline in rural areas and should not be a political football. Our local PO is a MUST and can survive with the support of local people. The mood/swing is away from LARGE DICTATORIAL outlets.Times they are a changing.

Have your say

Are Cornish Post Offices still a vital rural amenity or should they be closed if they are not getting enough cash over the counter?
