The burial site was found by Trevor Renals last summer who was walking on Constantine Island and quickly contacted the National Trust which looks after the site.
In October, recognising that it was a significant find the National Trust and the Cornwall Historic Environment Service set about excavating the site as quickly as possible so as not to lose the remains to the sea.
This week it was confirmed that the remains of a middle aged man were from the middle Bronze Age period.
