'Not enough information' on Post Office flat plans
The decision to turn an historic building in Falmouth’s town centre into high-end accommodation have been delayed while Cornwall Council planning officers wait for more information.
Developers plan to turn the two upper floors of the former Post Office site on The Moor into seven, two-bedroom flats for “single people or couples with no children.”
Falmouth Town Council recommended refusal of the plans when they were submitted in October by Cengiz Rifat.
The were recommended for approval at the central sub-area planning committee meeting yesterday, but planning officers deferred the decision to a later meeting while planning officers source further information about the development.
