The campaign celebrates ordinary people doing extraordinary things for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
It aims to remind people that by buying Lifeboat Tea they can help save lives.
Ms Blewett is a lifeguard at Upton Towans near Hayle in Cornwall.
She is training for the GB Sprint Kayak team for London 2012 and was also the first ever-female lifeguard in India. She has been chosen as an ambassador because of the extreme commitment she has shown to life on the water.
She commented: "I love the water; it's a great place to spend time but I also know as a lifeguard how dangerous it can become.
"This is why I want to help celebrate the hard work and courage shown by the volunteer RNLI crew through the Lifeboat Tea Extreme Tea initiative."
"I think the message is simple for supporters of the RNLI 'drink tea, save lives'."
In her new role, Ms Blewett will support the Extreme Tea campaign by Lifeboat Tea.
Lifeboat Tea costs £2.09 from supermarkets such as Waitrose and selected Tesco and Asda stores.
A donation of 7p from the sale of each packet of tea goes to the RNLI.
The tea is also available in RNLI shops.
