NEXT Wednesday will see the debut performance from Andrew Bate & The Lost at Miss Peapod's in Penryn.

The Lost is acclaimed St Austell singer-songwriter Andrew Bates' long-awaited band and they'll be exploding on to the music scene with this very special one-off showcase.

Mixing Andrew's haunting vocal with their mix of beautiful melodies, raw guitars and cinematic soundscapes this is set to add a whole new layer to the prolific songwriter's talent and blow minds.

The Cornish three-piece have so far only confined their powers to the recording studio (legendary Sawmills Studio in Golant) but now they're set to get bodies moving in venues all over the country with their songs about ghosts, love, loss and lust.

The new record is to be released later this year, recorded by prolific producer Paul Reeve, known for his work with Muse, and is due to see Bates' material released the way it was always imagined.

Be sure not to miss this special showcase night where you can say in years to come you were there first.

Support on the night comes from Tom Law.

Doors: 8pm, £2 on the door.
