Another new bar and bistro for Truro as Salt from Hayle expands
A new bar and bistro is set to open in Truro, adding to an increasing list of new venues in the city.
Salt already operates in Hayle and owner Toby Hume-Rothery is now expanding to Truro.
Planning permission has been given for the bar and restaurant on Kenwyn Street and Mr Hume-Rothery is hoping to open next Spring.
Mr Hume-Rothery said: “It's a local brand which focuses on Cornish sourced and homemade food, notably fish and grill. We are a cafe environment during the day, changing to food led in the evening, with a good wine and cocktail selection.”

He said he was looking to open at the beginning of April next year to avoid the South West Water works that are currently taking place.
Salt will be the latest in a range of new bars and restaurants opening in Truro.
The long-awaited Sam’s in the City will open at the end of the month and the £500,000 Loungers on Prince’s Street will be up and running before Christmas.
They will come on the back of the opening of the New York grill style Mustard and Rye on Calenick Street and the cocktail bar The Nightjar on Old Bridge Street.
