Charlie don't surf but play real good

Wednesday, July 02, 2008, 15:34

THIS Friday will see the first visit to St Ives, and indeed Cornwall, of top Devon rock and indie covers band Indigo Charlie who perform at the Lifeboat Inn.

The band are well established as firm favourites with music lovers across Devon and Somerset but this will be their first Cornish date.

The popular five-piece attribute their success to always putting on a fantastic live show.

Lead singer Richie Sikora said: “It's our job to give people a great night out, and we just love playing live.”

The choice of songs is crucial for any covers band and this is just one of the areas where Indigo Charlie excel.

An amazing selection of modern rock and indie classics by bands like Kaiser Chiefs, Killers, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Franz Ferdinand, The Zutons that are guaranteed to have the audience up and dancing.

They even throw in a few choice oldies too – the songs you know, played with a passion.

This is a one-off show for the band in preparation for their appearance at the Parklife Festival in Tavistock on Sunday, so make you sure you catch this unique performance. Top musicians, top tunes, top night out!
