Lola's giant pasty eaten by 37 people
IT COULD probably last little Lola Wolstencroft a lifetime of lunches, but this giant 'snack' has been donated by the four-year-old's grandfather, Neil Philp, owner of Philp's Bakery, to Hayle Day Care Centre. The bakery often gives the oversized Cornish food staple to pubs in the autumn to auction for charity. Mr Philp said: "The biggest we can do is the size of our baking trays which are 2.5ft long by 1.5ft wide."
Manager Lesley Channell said all people at the centre enjoyed the treat on Thursday – in 37 pieces.
