Our Veterinary Hospital is based in St. Columb Major, Mid Cornwall with satellite Clinics in Newquay, Pool and we will reopen in St. Merryn soon.

The Penmellyn Veterinary Group was established over 100 years ago and has evolved from genuine mixed practice into a centre of veterinary excellence made up of three dedicated departments.

Penmellyn Small Animal Department provides preventative, diagnostic, medical and surgical services based on latest scientific principles and using most up to date equipment.

In addition the practice provides a Small Animal Surgical Referral Service under the name A30 which saves many clients referred from other practices the long trip to specialist facilities upcountry.

Penmellyn Equine Department has been recognized as the “horse vets” in Cornwall for a very long time, we pride ourselves for our facilities designed and built to Hospital Standards and provide the widest range of diagnostic, medical and surgical services.

We are also BEVA approved for artificial insemination covering chilled and frozen semen. Routine and advanced equine dental care is provided using the latest techniques and equipment. Visiting consultants covering EQUINE SURGERY, CARDIOLOGY,OPHTHALMOLOGY and INTERNAL MEDICINE provide a vital service when specialist equine expertise is required.

Penmellyn Farm Vets are a team of veterinary surgeons dedicated to the farming industry. We are fully aware that Welfare, Performance and Productivity are vital for today’s dairy, beef or sheep farmers.
