  • Children are often taught in unsafe classrooms made out of mud and sticks crammed with more than 150 pupils
  • Family farm houses with up to seven children are made from sticks and mud with a corrugated iron roof
  • Mountain Gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda situated two hours north of the schools that ACE supports. Of the worlds estimated 60,000 gorilla population Mountain Gorillas are the rarest of all with only 650 living in the wild
  • The pupils of Kissoro School

  • Ugandan girls in traditional clothes
  • Water is usually fetched by children twice a day from sources up to an hour away on foot. Most homes have no running water although a community tap is available in some villages
  • Pupils of Kissoro school get together for photographs to say thanks to ACE charity
  • Big sister is the guardian of her little brother
  • A newly built classroom funded by ACE costing just £4,500 to build
  • Dancing for the Primary School music and dance competition for the district is a most colourful and amazing event
