Nowhere to get a pint in village
PORTSCATHO'S only pub has closed its doors while the owner begins "discussions" with its long-serving landlord.
The 17th-century Plume Of Feathers shut last week while managers from St Austell Brewery, the company which runs the pub, began negotiations with its landlord, Graham Thomas.
The circumstances surrounding the pub's closure, and the subject of the discussions, both remain unclear.
Mr Thomas has been the landlord of the Plume Of Feathers for more than 20 years.

Adam Luck, St Austell Brewery's estate director, said: "We can confirm that unfortunately the Plume Of Feathers in Portscatho has had to close temporarily.
"The brewery is currently in discussions with the landlord and we are hoping that we can find a solution which will enable the pub to reopen as soon as possible."
