Great Venue

I love the Hall for Cornwall. It’s large and spacious and pretty decent as venues go. It also excels in bringing great shows to Cornwall. It’s fair to say they offer something for everyone and there’s a good mix of famous names and local acts. It’s definitely an asset to the county.

    Amazing venue

“The first time we came here it was to see Derren Brown and the venue leant itselt perfectly to the atmospheric feeling of the show. Our seats were comfortable and easy to find. The building has so much more character than other more modern theatres I have visited and has an amazing line up season after season, an asset to Cornwall.”

    Great Variety of acts

“Every time I open the West Briton there is always a string of artists that i want to see - from local productions to big names like Seth Lakeman, Mark Little and Jimmy Carr to name but a few. Keep an eye on the HFC, you might be surprised by the artists!”

    Gets some great acts

“The Hall for Cornwall might be a smaller more isolated venue compared to those in other cities, but it still gets some great acts. I've seen everything here from gigs (Reef and Seth Lakeman) to pantos, to plays and comedians (Eddie Izzard). Well worth the visit although the cafe is v overpriced.”

Great venue for adults and kids

“I just read one of the summer holiday guides that was dedicated to the hall for cornwall and wanted to comment.

I went last year to The Tiger That Came to Tea. Great fun. Also saw Oklahoma! recently - excellent

The only problem is that they do 1 off shows that I don't think are advertised well enough - I always seem to check the site the day after they have been on! ”

    Great local venue

“A great lcoal venue that puts on a surprisingly good range of shows. They do classical, opera, theatre and panto. The seating is spacious and gives good interation with the stage. ALways a good evening. My only problem is that they don''t seem to entice that many higher tier bands and musicians. I saw Manic Street Preachers a few years ago, but otherwise its all Goldie Lookin'' Chain-esque groups.”

    Brilliant Theatre.

“The Hall for Cornwall is an excellent theatre, especially for Cornwall. I went to see a play at Christmas time - Jack and the Beanstalk. It was absolutely brilliant, it definately got me in a christmassy mood, the acting was excellent and everywhere was really clean and had a great atmosphere. The prices are also good, and they do discounts for students etc. There is a nice restaurant aswell, which is quite pricey but perfect for having a meal just before watching the pantomine or any other performance. This christmas they are performing Sleeping Beauty, i highly reccomend going to see it!”

    Great Entertainment

“It's great to have an opportunity to watch fantastic theatre in Cornwall. The Hall for Cornwall has a good variety of performances on throughout the year (including the obligatory pantomime at Christmas). Tickets are reasonably priced, as are the drinks and refreshments. There are also a good choice of souveniers to help you remember your trip. the Hall for Cornwall also has afternoon performances of plays such as Peppa Pig, a sure delight for the chidlren. I'd definitely recommend coming here!”

    Great theatre venue

“We don't get as much theatre in Cornwall as I would like, but what we do get is always brilliantly presented at the Hall for Cornwall.

A classic straight on, tiered design, the acoustics are solid and the performances are always good. More to point, the prices are good, and they offer excellent discounts for people under 25. I saw Insane in the Brain (crazy street dance meets One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest) and Grapes of Wrath. Brilliant”
