Five rescued on Camel Estuary after speedboat engine broke
Five people were rescued after the engine on their speedboat broke near Rock last night.
The 5.5 metre boat had drifted onto a rocky shore in the water ski area of the Camel Estuary and was caught in an area enclosed by overhanging undergrowth.
The crew of the Rock inshore lifeboat Rusper launched at 7.15pm and in a force three westerly wind and relatively calm conditions towed the vessel back to its mooring before taking the occupants to the shore.
