Mr Ward said: “My son works for the Town Council and he told me about the new development McCarthy and Stone were planning on building in Carbis Bay. I visited their complex in Newquay so I could get a feel for the lifestyle they had on offer and I liked it so much that I made a second visit.
“Their professional advisor came and visited me at home. She answered all my questions and helped me through what was a very difficult time for me.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming new neighbours and to watch our community grow.”
