Specialist Housing Committees have been consulted over the legal implications of re-classifying thousands of properties to maximise savings in the unpopular, soon to be implemented, bedroom tax.

Given the go-ahead, it's estimated 1 in 3 occupants in social housing – thought safe from the sanctions – upon re-evaluation will be deemed to have extra living space and forced either to find smaller properties or survive with lesser housing costs.

  1. Bedrooms above 180 sq ft will require partitioning should new laws be passed

Bedrooms above 180 sq ft will require partitioning should new laws be passed

Under new rules, a single bedroom having more than 180 sq ft floor space will be redefined as two rooms. The Government are calling to amend the 1985 Housing Act which will make these changes enforceable. The cost of dividing up living space should these measures be introduced will fall on the claimant, with the tenant facing eviction or heavy fines if failing to carry out work within strict time limits.

“The censors did not like a common name for pleasuring. It was one of your funny definitions of a male Tory”

    “@Bob Toronto

If my own experience of Canadian hospitals is anything to go by the UK is better off without that particular model.

When I compare the treatment by my GP in Truro and subsequent visits to Treliske to my Canadian hospital there's no contest. People often criticise the NHS but it wasn't until I actually used (needed) it did I understand it's true value.

    The Canadian equivalent is shocking.”

“I am sure some Tory voters have an 'alright Jack, I'm OK' attitude.

I am a history buff. Not just has the meaning of 'tory' changed over the years but 'alright Jack' has also changed assuming it is general currency in the UK

Way back in the 1950's or early 60's Peter Sellars starred as a bolshie union steward up against corrupt and incompetent management. Management and labour deserved each other. I seem to remember Terry Thomas also having a starring role. It was Sellars who was 'alright Jack' and he was a communist not a Tory. You should try to see the movie it is very funny and in exaggerated form highlights some of the reasons for the UK's decline in the world.

Learning a language like Hindi must be a wonderful cultural experience. Unfortunately the market for translators in the US cannot be large. My wife and I a few years ago were camping in Yellowstone National Park next to a group of Indian immigrants who worked for Microsoft in Seattle. Their English was probably better than mine. They did not need translators. Indian immigrants in Canada are mostly professional and likewise bilingual. There might be a small market helping some of their elderly parents who emigrated to be with their children but probably most of them can get by in English.

I think you must train for another line of work and use Hindi for your cultural enrichment.

Be careful about 'knowing' that immigrants in the UK are forcing labour rates down. Many US studies of the consequences of Mexican and other Latin American immigration have shown no forcing down but may be increases are not so large. Most of this immigration is unskilled and many are illegal. Probably a good proportion of the East European workers in the UK are skilled so the analogy may not be exact.

Be careful finding fault with East Europeans sending home money to support their families.

UK tourists spending their UK earned income on foreign holidays have the same economic
consequence. I remember the Atlee government limiting the foreign currency you could buy. The amount was entered on your passport. These were the days before credit cards. Needless to say, those who could, did illegally get round the system. Selling abroad and not repatriating the funds back etc. The Attlee government has much to answer for relating to the UK decline since WW2

I am not sure about the Tory decline at the next election. You say you are against Europe. You may continue to be hateful if the Tories in a minority position form an coalition government with the UKIP. Perhaps you may love them if you like the UKIP. I suspect you will have a problem knowing who to hate!

    Let's do a list

    You hate the Tories
    You are against Labour
The Americans don't think much of your job chances as a translator
East Europeans are taking the jobs of native British who would rather be idle on benefits than move to those jobs.
Tourists from Canada ( and other countries?) are not welcome if they do not agree that all Tories are cruel, nasty, alright Jacks.
(I would like you to put together the question for immigration officers to ask at Heathrow. The question will have to be in French & English as some people from Quebec may be confused by
the English language question and think the officers are asking whether they support Mr Harper's administration. The officers should point out to the women tourists that only male Tories are ******s. Female ******s all support the Liberal Democrats or Labour. The UKIP thinks only foreigners ****)

From the above it would seem that you need help before 2015 as that date may not give you relief. In fact it might be worse. You have not considered that your education efforts for all those who voted for the wrong party in the last election may just persuade them to vote for a different wrong party because you by then may hate all of them?

    Cheers”

“I do not leave because I can't afford to, the same as most, I had planned on migrating to the US to be a Hindi translator but since there are much stricter rules in America now I couldn't even if I could afford the travel.

Here are the results for the election which they 'won' after a campaign of complete lies -
    Labour 35.2%, Conservatives 32.4%, Liberal Democrats 22.1%

I completely disagree with you, I don't think Tory voters are decent people, they're known as "I'm alright Jacks" Those that don't care about what happens to everyone else because they're doing alright. Then there are the bigots that vote Tory because Labour let all the immigrants in, the ones that don't even know why it's bad. The rest are the weak minded that just go by what the right wing media tells them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no real fan of Labour at the moment because I am anti Europe, I know for a fact that the mass immigration from Eastern Europe has driven down wages in this country, vast amounts of people working for cash in hand, not paying into the system and sending the money back home, it is destroying the NHS and other services and keeping the British out of jobs, which suits the government just fine. But Labour are a working class party, which means they represent much more of our population, not left wing enough for me on most social issues but much further left than the Tories.

I absolutely agree, my hatred is not good for me, I'm not doing this because it's good for me, I'm doing this because it's good for everyone, I'm trying to educate the people that accidentally voted for them last time based on lies perpetuated by the right wing media. I've only been like this since election time, and once they are gone in 2015, which, going by the statistical fall in Tory popularity since the war will be their last election ever, I will go back to normal.

What's more, the vote in 2010 did not even matter, as it was a democratic vote, they were not voted in, and they now act on policies that were not even in their mandates, they ignore massive protests and huge petitions, this is a dictatorship. A girl was beaten by police and charged the other day for telling Cameron he had blood on his hands. That is just the start.

Are you willing to change your opinion now? No, of course not, because your alright Jack.”

“Why do you stay in a country where Tories are murderers. They must have got 30-40% of the vote in the last election. Fill the jails, if you cannot afford to keep them, reimpose the death penalty. The commies did just that after 1917 in Russia and the Chinese after 1949. Millions died.

Your hatred cannot be good for your health. Most Tories, liberal democrats and labour supporters are decent people and do not call those who disagree with them, scum and worse.

As for poverty wages, why are immigrants numbers exceeding those leaving the awful murderous UK?

You have forgotten your medication again.”

“Irrational political views? You claimed on here that
' the typical Tory is economically and socially successful, is generally happy and wishes the best for his/ her family, friends, neighbors and country'
Even though I have given facts and figures proving otherwise, proving that they are killing the sick and disabled, proving that they have sucked the growth out of our economy with their austerity for the poor programme, proving that there are not enough jobs, proving that 60% of people in work here are still on benefits due to the poverty wages paid in this country. All you have done is give irrelevant quotes from history and look down your nose at the less educated and blamed the poor for their own poverty.

If you knew anything about this country then you would know about sayings like "die Tory scum" and "Tory boy" Tories in this country are used to hearing things like that.”

“Many years ago I compared the UK with Canada. You are saying I cannot compare now?

    'Tory Boy?

How old are you? To call anyone 'Boy' is suggestive of colonial Africa or the US deep south.

You have lost a rational argument and are reduced to insults. Sticks & Stones could hurt but ignorant words will not.

Why should I stay out of my country of origin? I don't think you are thinking straight. Do you take any medication? my family spent several thousands of £ last year in England which in a small way helped the economy. You are suggesting that those who disagree with your rude, irrational political views should stay out!

Take care and have a happy life full of hatred

    “Enough

    I know-nothing of the UK?

I was born in Cornwall, worked in London until I was 26, left for a better life in Canada.

Have been back many times. I was in Cornwall last year and in 2011 visited Ireland, Wales and England but not Cornwall.

This year I will not be visiting but will be having a vacation in southern mainland Italy and Sicily.

If you educate yourself, study,, choose a profession or trade where you are likely to get a good job why should you accept a low paying job.

If the above paragraph does not describe you, then change your behavior. Do not blame others, Tories or Labour or the piskies at the bottom of your garden.
Wayne Gretsky, the greatest hockey player of his generation said that he skated to where he thought the puck was going to be.

You should go to where the jobs are (think where all the Poles and other immigrants are working and what jobs are they are doing) and get the training.

Sorry to preach but you have the first responsibility for your life. Low paying jobs? We all would like to be paid more.

From your obvious writing ability, you have not been badly educated, possibly better than my education but you and only you can use it for your personal benefit and through a higher income pay more taxes for the benefit of the national accounts”
