A COUPLE have moved to Marazion in order to start their new business which merges design with marketing.

Becky McOwen and Peter Banks decided to make the move to Cornwall from London earlier this year.

They had holidayed in the area for years, fancied the change and thought it would be a good opportunity to build a new business using their different skills.

Becky's background in marketing and advertising now works alongside Peter's flair for interior styling to create McOwen and Banks Creative Consultancy.

"We are trying to combine our skills so we can work together in a seamless manner," said Becky.

"My career has been based around advertising and Peter's area is in interiors – we're hoping this will mean we can offer a complete, 360-degree approach for clients."

Their business is best suited to boutique hotels or bed and breakfasts, but they are adaptable and willing to split their skills so that if you only want help with marketing or design they will operate independently.

Having worked with Seat, Radox, Adidas and the Disney Channel in the past the couple are looking forward to building their reputation in Cornwall.

They have spent a lot of time networking and establishing the business in the area.

After a hard day's work Becky said: "There's nothing better then going down to the beach and taking the dog for a walk."
