Following a huge fire which destoyed a neigbouring hotel this week, St Michael's Hotel and Spa have released a special offer this weekend to get the area back on its feet again.
Book three nights from this Friday 3 May and receive a standard room, daily full Cornish breakfast and a nightly three course dinner in the Flying Fish Restaurant for only £150 per person - a saving of 57% off their tariff price.
If you can only stay two nights it is £60 per person per night. You can also upgrade to a spa break and receive a 1hour facial or massage for only £30 more. Normally £54!

New this year, set in the sky on a beautiful platform overlooking the madness of the campsite, the Masked Ball ‘Don Carlos VIP Area’ has been built with festival royalty in mind. This special tented hidey-hole is nestled in a welcoming and exclusive enchanted forest, located on the fringes of the festival.
Sat: Truro Cathedral. THE Addison Singers from West London are on tour in Cornwall and will be performing a piece of music commissioned especially for their Truro Cathedral concert on Saturday at 1pm.
Musical director David Wordsworth asked Gabriel Jackson to compose a piece of music with a Cornwall theme. Gabriel is a highly respected choral composer and was particularly excited about this opportunity as his parents have lived round the corner from the cathedral for many years and he has a strong connection with Cornwall.
Sunday: Princess Pavilion Gardens, Falmouth. THE SUMMER season of Sunday afternoon concerts begins on Sunday.
Kicking off this year’s concerts are the very popular Illumination Brass.
Under musical director Ian Edwards the players in this talented group come from across the county and play a mix of modern and traditional music for all tastes.
Admission is free and the concert begins at 2.30pm.
Saturday: Truro Methodist Church, Union Place, at 7.30pm. Monsieur de Coubertin’s Magnificent Opymlic© Feat! is a new and extraordinary piece of theatre from Riding Lights Theatre Company.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday: Minack Theatre.
Saturday at 2pm Dean Nolan (National Youth Theatre, Outhouse and, most recently, Miracle) is Antony Payne, the famous Cornish Giant in Oogly Es Sin. This hilarious and touching one-man play is presented as part of Minack’s storytelling season. The show is included in the day visitor entry fee.
Mevagissey Male Choir are in concert on Saturday evening at 7.30pm
The Addison Singers will present an informal concert at 2pm on Sunday to be followed at 7.30pm by Duchy Opera presenting Baron Herzog’s Box Of Operatic Delights, above, a riotous and irreverent beginner’s guide to this wonderful medium of music and drama.
On Monday Cake Productions present Devon And Demelza about the Devonwall boundary issue and on Wednesday, May 9 Dave’s House Theatre Company presents a double bill of Harold Pinter with The Lover and The Dumb Waiter.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday: DRIFTWOOD SPARS is to host its fifth annual Sausage and Ale Festival at the weekend.
The award-winning tipple Alfie’s Revenge will feature as a key ingredient of a special recipe banger at the annual sausage and ale event.
The St Agnes pub has established the festival celebrating the ideal British food match of sausages and beer around the village’s historic Bolster weekend.
Monday: Link text LOBBS BARN at Heligan is staging an exhibition by local artists Cathy Stringer, Carolyn Taplin and Posie Nicholson from May 7 to 13.
