REECE Cory Mayo from Liskeard won the chance to walk out at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday with the England football team when they took on Brazil.

It was a fantastic day out for ten-year-old Reece, who as a McDonald's Player Escort, walked out with Manchester United's Tom Cleverley ahead of their match with one of the world's greatest footballing nations.

Reece, who won his place after entering a national competition via the McDonald's Kickstart website, said: "I couldn't wait to walk out onto the pitch with the England players. It was brilliant to be at Wembley and to see Brazil and England."

Sir Geoff Hurst, McDonald's Director of Football, said: "It is a great experience to walk out on the pitch at Wembley Stadium – it's something that these young player escorts will never forget. And to walk out before a match against Brazil is very special indeed."

The Three Lions were victorious in the first game of 2013. They beat the 2014 World Cup hosts thanks to goals from Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard either side of Fred's goal for Brazil.

McDonald's and The FA have been Community Partners since 2002 and have worked together to help young footballers shine by creating more opportunities for children to get involved in football.
