FIVE members of staff on police bail following allegations of abuse at the troubled John Daniel Centre for vulnerable adults have been bailed again.

Ten carers from the centre in Heamoor, Penzance, were cleared of any wrongdoing at the end of October after an inquiry by operators Cornwall Council.

But five people arrested on suspicion of willful neglect in April remain on bail.

The five, a 21-year-old man from St Ives, a 58-year-old man from Penzance, a 22-year-old woman from Helston and a man and woman, both aged 57, from Hayle, answered bail in September.

Devon and Cornwall Police say they have all been re-bailed until January 25.
