FALMOUTH Town underlined their title credentials with a 5-0 away win at Dartmouth in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League premier division on Saturday.

Alan Carey's side remain third, but are only seven points behind leaders Buckland Athletic with a game in hand. They have an inferior goal difference to second-placed Bodmin, but won't do for much longer if they continue in this form.

Buckland scraped a 1-0 victory against second from bottom Liskeard Athletic to re-establish a seven point advantage following Bodmin's Friday night 2-1 win over Torpoint.

Plymouth Parkway moved above St Blazey into sixth place by beating the Green & Blacks 2-1 at Bolitho Park.

Saltash United showed signs of returning to their best form with a 4-0 win at Witheridgem, while Wadebridge lifted themselves above Liskeard in the relegation dogfight by beating Cullompton 4-0 at Bodieve Park.

Premier Division results: Buckland 1, Liskeard 0; Dartmouth 0 Falmouth 5; Elburton 2 Holsworthy 1; Launceston 6 Bovey Tracey 2; Parkway 2 St Blazey 1; Tavistock 3 Ivybridge 0; Wadebridge 4 Cullompton 0; Witheridge 0 Saltash 4.
