Should thisiscornwall keep the rating system?

Is it fair, does it contribute to the discussion?

I use this section as a poll to actualy make use of the system to judge if it has merit.

Vote/rate below.

Negative No, positive Yes.

    “Hi Hanky

Thanks for letting us know. Yes I have also contacted a few people. I know the p got knocked off yesterday but it obviously wasn't made clear enough to them. Yes I feel sure Charles is well capable of looking after himself. At leasts he knows he can count on our support if he needs it. I also will do anything I can to help.

With regard to your last sentence, I doubt they have any, hence the frustration.

I don't know quite what they hoped to achieve with this particular stunt. Did they not think that nobody would notice? Haven't been on TiC today apart from first thing when I noticed the new page for Charles. I should have twigged then.”

“Hello 2ladybugs. I have seen what's going on and I have messaged elsewhere ('Christianity attacked' – hotel loses appeal and Cameron pledges action on drink) what my position is. I'm out of it for a couple of weeks. I have also reported to thisis. I am confident Chaz will be more than able to stand up for himself but I supported him in my complaint to thisis and will do more if asked.

All that remains to hope is that so and so will fall and sprain their wrist, causing an unfortunate pause in their sex life.”

    “Hi Hank' are you there

Charles needs our help. It looks as if pea brain was banned yesterday and has opened up a new account using Charlespk avatar. Charles has NOT been on TiC today.”

“Here here 2ladybugs, I do know how to give you 50 green arrows but I can't be Rsed.

Now there is a Traveller site story and one about alleged ill-treatment of users at a day centre for people with learning disabilities I am beckoned in that direction. Stories from the real world rather than a manufactured and manipulated thread such as this one.”

“Hopefully a line can now be drawn under this rubbish, although I fear red arrow person will remain.”

“They are Charlespk, Hanky_Spanky, esotericage3 and 2ladybugs and they incite it in others also in me, trying to get the worst out whenever possible. And they have the cheek to complain. Maybe best to ignore them, so I would recommend a ignore user button on the comment section. beachland

    “Take care Chaz.

What we need is a hot subject we can really debate. Something in which we can get stuck into the topic itself rather than all this stuff. At least I am certain about the arrows. I liked them at first (for about 15 minutes) and now the whole thing is in discredit. A pal told me on the Daily Mail site people almost compete with outrageous statements just to rack up 'recommendations.' Daft games really.

Never saw myself as a dark horse.”

“Yes I know what you mean. . I always try and keep my powder dry so people never really know what I've got or what they are dealing with. . I've noticed those with input that's always worth listening, like Max and quite a few others employ that tactic also. . You are a bit of a dark horse yourself, and similarly 2ladybugs. . . Politics is always fraught with difficulties, but I try and avoid subjects I'm not well grounded in.”

“OK I'm still here. Never was a great Lennon fan. Is that where the 'more popular than Jesus' saying comes from?

On the thread itself I must say it is getting beyond daft. I like a bit of intellectual simulation if only for target practice and avoiding becoming a target.Trouble is for that you need the other person to be clever, unpredictable, funny and draw from wide references. The kind of person I would maybe grudgingly prefer to be on my side in an argument.

Not really getting any of that from our pal I'm afraid.”
